The Hohen\u00adzollern Office is located in a dis\u00adtrict called \u2018Gallus\u2019. This is where the past and the present converge.<\/p>\n

<\/div>[vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=\u201c1\/2\u201d][vc_column_text animation=\u201cgrve-fade-in-up\u201d animation_delay=\u201c400\u201d]The ori\u00adginal wooden tower bore the name \u2018Warte zu den guten Leuten\u2019 \u2013 a watch\u00adtower for the good people. It was replaced in 1414 by the tower that still exists today. Frankfurt\u2019s \u2018Gal\u00adgenfeld\u2019 (gallows field) was within sight, giving the tower its second name: \u2018Gal\u00adgen\u00adwarte\u2019. This gallows watch\u00adtower served as one of four watch\u00adtowers of Frankfurt\u2019s fortification.\n

The last change of name took place in 1903. When the muni\u00adci\u00adpality of St. Gallus was founded, the \u2018Gal\u00adgen\u00adwarte\u2019 was given its present name: \u2018Gal\u00adlus\u00adwarte\u2019.
\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=\u201c1\/2\u201d][vc_column_text animation=\u201cgrve-fade-in-up\u201d animation_delay=\u201c400\u201d]The Gallus dis\u00adtrict is one of Frankfurt\u2019s most pro\u00admising neigh\u00adbour\u00adhoods. As in almost every city, the area around the central station was unpo\u00adpular and received little attention. This has been changing ste\u00adadily over the past years. In 2011, we were reminded of what it looked like in 1888: once again, the ground was covered in sand and rubble, this time at the site of the former main goods station, and once again some\u00adthing new and big was created: the new Euro\u00adpa\u00adviertel (European quarter), which is now coming to life.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u201c1\/6\u201d][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row margin_bottom=\u201d-15%\u201d][vc_column]<\/p>
